What was the highlight of APA Hotel Nagoya Sakae Ekimae EXCELLENT
Good
Clean and spacious room. The bed was really comfortable.
The room was so warm as they switched the main AC of the rooms to heating since 1 Nov and there is no way the room-users can control the temperature. Nagoya was still pretty warm in early Nov, so on certain days the room temperature can go up to about 26 deg C, without anyone in the room. Now imagine a person staying inside the room, generating body heat and having to sleep under the thick duvet provided. IT IS HOT! On a few nights, I couldn't sleep due to the heat. It was unbearable. The room-making was done every 3rd day, which was fine, but sometimes in between, when I requested for fresh towels and yukata, the workers forgot to provide the obi for my fresh yukata or a fresh APA bag for my used towels. But generally, I can live with that. Overall, it is a good place to stay in, if not for the heat.

It is just OK.
The hotel is so near 2 subway stations and it is near different kinds of shops. the triple room is big enough and the bathroom even has a storage area. It is quite and the curtains are so good for shading sunshine.
The hotel lobby is on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator but only an escalator. The bathroom will leak water when you take a bath so you need to be careful. The WIFI is so weak in the room. The hotel is in the building with other facilities so it is free to in and out and it feels not so private for hotel guests. The beds are so soft it not quite good for sleeping with your kid. There are no free refilled water everyday.

Nice spot near shopping area and easy to get Airport
Near by the shopping area, easy access to bus direct to airport just 5 mins walk to bus station.
On November - winter season, the hotel fix Air-condition in heater mode. You have to open window to get the wind instead.

Strategically located
Notification about changing to heater was announced only thru the TV screen. They should have also posted the advisory on the door of each room.
